Biopteq Excellence Hoof Dressing Kevin Bacon's Hoof Dressing
With a new name and look but the same formulation that we love and trust.
It's now called Bioteq and comes in a few more options. The most popular is now called Excellence Hoof Dressing. Its an oil and comes with a brush! (Finally.) It will automatically come in this formulation unless you specifically ask for the solid formulation. We find most people really prefer the oil over the solid.
What's Footloose got to do with Hoof Dressing?
Nothing but a fun play on words. The Australian, Olympic Show Jumper, Kevin Bacon, has everything to do with this hoof dressing. Made in Belgium and Canada, Kevin Bacon's Hoof Dressing is used exclusively by many of the worlds top show jumping and dressage riders. As they say, "It's all over Europe."
Couple things about hoof dressings. They are NOT all the same. Most of what is available in the USA is made of Petroleum products. They do not allow the hoof to maintain a natural moisture balance. Environment aside, would you use petroleum products on yourself?
All natural ingredient hoof dressings allow the hoof to maintain a steady moisture balance and can assist Farriers in keeping feet together and shoes on. Use after riding but BEFORE bathing and you will make a tremendous improvement in the quality of your horses foot and its ability to keep shoes on.
One liter will last a single horse a show season. You do not have to apply heavily. Just a thin layer everyday to start then every other or third day if the horse is not getting a bath. Daily before a bath.
Includes Shipping.
HOOF DRESSING which has been manufactured by traditional methods for more than 25 years, reflects just this philosophy.
HOOF DRESSING does not merely give the horn a pretty shine. It penetrates the horn to nourish the hoof deep down. Regular use of HOOF DRESSING prevents the hoof wall from drying, protects it from the wet, and activates horn growth.
