Please Read FIRST. . .

If you are traveling from the northeast, east or southeast of us, GPS, Google and Map Quest will likely direct you up Tucker Hill Road off Rt 38. It is a seasonal portion of our road that is NEVER suitable for horse trailers. There are alternative routes that take less time to travel and are 100% safer!
Don’t be surprised if a street sign is missing, watch your mileage and you’ll be fine.

If you are stopped and staring up Tucker Hill Road, and wondering if you can make it.
NO, it's not a maintained road.
Deep breath. Back yourself down- move to the center of the road, keep your wheels straight and back slowly to the Y where you see a road to the right of Tucker Hill Road.

Take that road to the end, about a mile. (If its winter and this road is closed or looks questionable skip down to the next paragraph) Its probably going to be a bit rough, but a much better option than the hill. When you come to the end, at Bird Cemetery Road, turn left. Go up the hill, past the cemetery and  dairy barn, turn left onto Chevalier Road. Go to the end of Chevalier Road, about a mile. At the T, that's Tucker Hill Road, turn RIGHT. You have just bypassed the hill. You are in the right place. 1/2 mile up the hill and on the right is Morgan Equine.

Back all the way down to  38 North, towards Locke. In 1.4 miles turn left at Cat Path. (If you miss Cat Path and end up at a 4 way stop skip to next paragraph) At the end of Cat Path turn Left onto Bird Cemetery Road. Go up the hill, past the cemetery and turn left onto Chevalier Road, on the corner of a dairy farm. Go to the end of Chevalier Road, about a mile. At the T, that's Tucker Hill Road, turn RIGHT. You have just bypassed the hill. You are in the right place. 1/2 mile up the hill and on the right is Morgan Equine.

Turn Left at the 4 ways stop. Go about half a mile through the curves and turn left on Bird Cemetery Road.  About 2.5 miles up Bird Cemetery Road turn Left onto Chevalier, just past the cemetery and dairy barn. Go to the end of Chevalier Road, about a mile. At the T, thats Tucker Hill Road, turn RIGHT. You have just bypassed the hill. You are in the right place. 1/2 mile up the hill and on the right is Morgan Equine.

Rochester or Toll Road I-90 East

1. I-90 East to Waterloo/Clyde Exit 41. Turn right off toll booth ramp onto Route 414 South.
2. Go 0.2 miles, turn left at stop light onto Route  318 East.
3. Go 4 miles to T, turn left on to Route 20/5 East. Go 2 miles passing through the green bridge, to the stoplight adjacent to the Nice and Easy gas station. Turn Right on to Route 90 South.
4. For 28 miles, you will go through several small towns like Aurora, King Ferry and Genoa, always continuing straight on Route 90 South.
5. At the 4 way stop in Genoa near the Citgo, continue straight ahead on Route 90. This road will be straight for about 3 miles, then it will become slightly curvy for about 3 miles. Make sure you are at a cautious speed for these curves.
6. AT the town of Locke Sign (there is a blue and white farm house on the left at the town sign) TURN RIGHT onto Bird Cemetery Road.
7. Go 1.5 miles to Chevalier Road. Turn left.  Go 1 mile to the stop sign at the end of the road.
8. That is Tucker Hill Rd. Turn right. Yes, you are in the right place. It will be OK.
9. Continue ½ mile,  on the right,  169 Tucker Hill Road Locke NY 13092. Board and Batten building with Green Trim. Welcome to Morgan Equine.

11. Although its probably less than 45 miles,  it's a solid hour and 10 minutes from the toll road to Morgan Equine with a horse trailer. But a lovely drive along Cayuga Lake.
    

North Bound I-81 Binghamton NY

1. Take I-81 North to Rt 13 Exit 11 toward Cortland. Turn Left at the bottom of the ramp.
2. At the 2nd stop light, 0.2 miles off the ramp, stay/turn slightly RIGHT onto Clinton Ave/NY 13/Groton Ave. for about 1 mile
3. Continue Straight at the Stop Light at the intersection of NY 222/ Groton Ave. and Rt 13.  There is an Rite Aid at this intersection.
4. Go 10.4 miles to Groton
5. Turn LEFT at the Stop Sign in Groton. Cayuga St/NY 38
6. At the Sunoco Station, Turn RIGHT onto Spring Street
7. 3/10 mile, Turn Right at the T to remain on Spring Street
8. ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
9. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile. Turn RIGHT onto Smith/West Groton Road
10. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left, 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.
11. ½ mile on Tucker Hill Road on the Left hand side. 169 Tucker Hill Road Locke NY 13092. Board and Batten building with Green Trim. Welcome to Morgan Equine.

13. Estimated Trip Time from starting point to Morgan Equine: Under an hour. Once you are through Cortland and on the 222 its smooth sailing.
    

South Bound I-81 Syracuse NY through Cortland and Rt 222

1. I-81 South.
2. Take the Homer/Cortland exit 12. Once off the ramp, go straight ahead and follow the signs to Ithaca.
3. At the stop light turn left on to route 281.
4. Go two miles to route 222 to Cortland, turn right at the stop light.. There will be an Rite Aid at this intersection.
5. Turn LEFT at the Stop Sign in Groton. Cayuga St/NY 38
6. At the Sunoco Station, Turn RIGHT onto Spring Street
7. 3/10 mile, Turn Right at the T to remain on Spring Street
8. ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
9. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile. Turn RIGHT onto Smith/West Groton Road
10. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left, 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.

South Bound I-81 Syracuse NY through Homer and Rt 90 (not for trucks who despise hills)

1. I-81 South.
2. Take the Homer/Cortland exit 12. Once off the ramp, go straight ahead and turn right at the Stop light on Rt 13.
3. Turn left at the gas station in 2 blocks onto West Route 90- not the toll road.
4. Uphill and curvy for a mile, then it straightens out a bit. Be sure your brakes are working well on the down hill into Locke. At the 4 way stop its VERY IMPORTANT to go STRAIGHT.
5. In 3/4 mile, turn left onto Bird Cemetery Road.

1. Go 1.5 miles to Chevalier Rd. Hidden sign, but on the corner of a dairy farm past the cemetery. Turn turn left and go 1 mile to the stop sign T.
2. That is Tucker Hill Rd. Turn right. Yes, you are in the right place. It will be OK.

5. Estimated Trip Time from starting point to Morgan Equine: From the Syracuse Airport its an hour. This route is slightly shorter than going through Cortland but it takes the same amount of time.
   

Auburn ny Via Route 34

1. Follow NY-34 S towards Genoa 19.1 mi
   
2. Turn left onto NY-90 S towards Locke 6.2 mi
3. Before the town of Locke, Turn right onto Bird Cemetery Rd 1.7 mi
4. Turn left onto Chevalier Rd 1.1 mi
   
5. Turn right onto Tucker Hill Rd 0.3 mi
6. Destination will be on the right: 169 Tucker Hill Rd, Locke, NY 13092

1. Follow NY-38 S to Moravia
2. Turn Right onto NY-38 S/ Main St  at the 4 way stop in Moravia 3.7 mi
3. Turn right onto NY-90 N at the 4 way stop in Locke 0.5 mi
4. Turn Left onto Bird Cemetery Rd just ½ mile from the 4 way stop 1.7 mi
5. Turn Left onto Chevalier Rd, just after going up a big hill 1.1 mi
6. Turn Right onto Tucker Hill Rd. 0.5 mi
7. 169 Tucker Hill Rd is on the right at the S bend.

1. Take NY-222 W/Groton Ave toward Groton 10 mi
   
2. Turn left onto Main Street 0.2 mi
   
3. Turn Right onto Spring Street at the Sunoco 0.3 mi
4. Turn right to stay on Spring Street at the T 0.6 mi
5. Slight right onto W Groton Rd at the Y 1.0 mi
6. Turn right to stay on W. Groton Rd 0.5 mi
7. Continue straight onto Devlen Rd/Wood Rd at the Stop Sign 1.0 mi
8. Follow the 90'curve to the left 0.4 mi

1. Route 13 through Ithaca to North Triphammer Rd. Go 4 miles to Rt 34 B
   
2. Turn right or east at the 4 way Blinking light.
3. Go 4.8 miles to Sharpsteen Rd. Turn Left. There is a Gun/Ammo Shop sign just before turn.
4. Go 1 mile to the end  of Sharpsteen. Turn Right onto Pleasant Valley Rd.
5. Go 1 block to Smith Road, turn left or north.
6. Continue straight 4.7 miles. Follow the 90' curve to the Left.
7. 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.

Groton via north rt 38

1. On Rt 38 North just as you are entering Groton past the school.
2. Turn Left on W. South Street. Go  ½ block, turn Right on Sykes Street. It becomes Spring street at the stop sign in about 2 blocks.
3. Continue Straight ahead.  Go ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
4. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile
5. Turn RIGHT onto Smith/West Groton Road
6. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left.
7. 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.

RETURN TO GROTON NY

Turn right out of the drive way
Turn left at the T stop sign onto Devlin Road
Go around the sharp curve. Stop sign in a mile. Go Straight.
Take the next left. Spring Street Extension.  NOT Wickham.
Go 1 mile to the T and turn left to stay on Spring Street
Go down the hill into Groton. Take first major left, Spring Street, 2 blocks will take you to the Sunoco and Main Street Groton. 6 minutes max.
Marc's Pizza at Sunoco has good subs and salads. The Sunoco does have Diesel and fuel prices are typically average.
To get to 81: Turn left on Main Street. 1/4 mile, Turn right on Rt 222 to Cortland.
For Binghamton continue straight through Cortland on 222. Its a bit bumpy.
For Syracuse turn left at the 2nd light intersecting at Rt 13. There are several major drug stores at this intersection. This will take you north to the 81 near homer.

RETUrn to ithaca ny

Turn right out of the drive way
Turn left at the T stop sign onto Devlin Road
Go around the sharp curve. Stop sign 1 mile,  Go Straight.
Keep going straight after the next stop sign to the end of Smith road approx 5 miles.
Turn right onto Pleasant Valley. Go 1 Block turn left onto Sharpsteen. Go 1 mile.
At T turn right onto 34B. 5 miles to Lansing 4 way stop, turn left onto Triphammer Road 5 miles into Ithaca and Rt 13. About 25 minutes with a trailer.

To avoid tucker hill road on return

Turn left out of the drive way.
Take first left in less than half mile. Chevalier Road.
Go 1 mile to end, Turn Right on Bird Cemetery Road.
Go 2 miles to Rt 90. 
Two choices:
Turn Left to Genoa/KingFerry/Auburn/Rochester.
Turn Right to Homer/Syracuse/Binghamton.
About 5 minutes.
