If you are traveling from the northeast, east or southeast of us, GPS and Map Quest will likely direct you up Tucker Hill Road off Rt 38. It is a seasonal portion of our road that is NEVER suitable for horse trailers. There are alternative routes that do not take any more time to travel, but are 100% safer!

Please copy and paste into a word document to print the directions that are provided below to ensure a safe journey to Morgan Equine. Don’t be surprised if a street sign is missing, watch your mileage and you’ll be fine.

Upstate New York Map for your Reference

From Rochester or Toll Road I-90 East

  1. I-90 East to Waterloo/Clyde Exit 41. Turn right off toll booth ramp onto Route 414 South.
  2. Go 0.2 miles, turn left at stop light onto Route  318 East.
  3. Go 4 miles to T, turn left on to Route 20/5 East. Go 2 miles passing through the green bridge, to the stoplight adjacent to the Nice and Easy gas station. Turn Right on to Route 90 South.
  4. For 28 miles, you will go through several small towns like Aurora, King Ferry and Genoa, always continuing straight on Route 90 South.
  5. At the 4 way stop in Genoa near the Citgo, continue straight ahead on Route 90. This road will be straight for about 3 miles, then it will become slightly curvy for about 3 miles. Make sure you are at a cautious speed for these curves.
  6. AT the town of Locke Sign (there is a red/pink and white farm house on the left at the town sign) TURN RIGHT onto Bird Cemetery Road.
  7. Go 1.5 miles to Chevalier Road. Turn left.  Go 1 mile to the stop sign at the end of the road.
  8. That is Tucker Hill Rd. Turn right. Yes, you are in the right place. It will be OK.
  9. Continue ½ mile,  on the right,  169 Tucker Hill Road Locke NY 13092. Board and Batten building with Green Trim. Welcome to Morgan Equine.

  11. Estimated Trip Time from starting point to Morgan Equine: Although its probably less than 45 miles,  it's a solid hour and 10 minutes from the toll road to Morgan Equine with a horse trailer. But a lovely drive along Cayuga Lake.

North Bound I-81 from Binghamton NY

  1. Take I-81 North to Rt 13 Exit 11 toward Cortland. Turn Left at the bottom of the ramp.
  2. At the 2nd stop light, 0.2 miles off the ramp, stay/turn slightly RIGHT onto Clinton Ave/NY 13/Groton Ave. for about 1 mile
  3. Continue Straight at the Stop Light at the intersection of NY 222/ Groton Ave. and Rt 13.  There is an Rite Aid at this intersection.
  4. Go 10.4 miles to Groton
  5. Turn LEFT at the Stop Sign in Groton. Cayuga St/NY 38
  6. At the Sunoco Station, Turn RIGHT onto Spring Street
  7. 3/10 mile, Turn Right at the T to remain on Spring Street
  8. ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
  9. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile. Turn RIGHT onto Smith/West Groton Road
  10. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left, 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.
  11. ½ mile on Tucker Hill Road on the Left hand side. 169 Tucker Hill Road Locke NY 13092. Board and Batten building with Green Trim. Welcome to Morgan Equine.

South Bound I-81from Syracuse NY

  1. I-81 South.
  2. Take the Homer/Cortland exit 12. Once off the ramp, go straight ahead and follow the signs to Ithaca.
  3. At the stop light turn left on to route 281.
  4. Go two miles to route 222 to Cortland, turn right at the stop light.. There will be an Rite Aid at this intersection.
  5. Turn LEFT at the Stop Sign in Groton. Cayuga St/NY 38
  6. At the Sunoco Station, Turn RIGHT onto Spring Street
  7. 3/10 mile, Turn Right at the T to remain on Spring Street
  8. ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
  9. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile. Turn RIGHT onto Smith/West Groton Road
  10. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left, 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.

Auburn via Route 38
  1. Take 38 south 16 miles to Moravia.
  2.  At the stop sign turn right/south to stay on 38 for 3 1/2 miles to Locke 
  3. In Locke at flashing light go west/right on route 90 for ½ mile
  4. Turn left on Bird Cemetery Rd. There is a red & white farm house on the right at this junction
  5. Go 1.5 miles to Chevalier Rd. Turn turn left and go 1 mile to the stop sign T.
  6. That is Tucker Hill Rd. Turn right. Yes, you are in the right place. It will be OK.

Auburn via Route 34
  1. In Auburn take Rt 34 towards Genoa about 15 miles
  2. Turn East (LEFT) on Route 90. There is a gas station on the right corner of 34 & 90 intersection.
  3. This road will be straight for about 4 miles, then it will become slightly curvy for about 4 miles.
  4. At the town of Locke Sign (there is a red/pink and white farm house on the left at the town sign) TURN RIGHT onto Bird Cemetery Road.
  5. Go 1.5 miles to Chevalier Rd. Turn left.  Go 1 mile to the stop sign at the end of the road.

  1. Take Rt. 222 for 10.4 Miles to Groton
  2. Turn LEFT at the Stop Sign in Groton. Cayuga St/NY 38

  4. 3/10 mile, Turn Right at the T to remain on Spring Street
  5. ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
  6. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile

  8. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left.

From Dryden NY

  1. North on Rt 38 towards Groton
  2. At the 34b and 38 intersection at the flashing lights, Turn Left onto Rt 34b.
  3. About 1 mile to Sharpsteen Road, Turn Right, go to the end, about 1 mile, turn Right on Pleasant Valley Road.
  4. Go 1/10 mile on Pleasant Valley, Take first Left onto Smith Road.
  5. About 5 miles on Smith, straight through 2 stop signs, will be a 90' curve to the left, follow it.
  6. 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road, Turn Right.
  7. ½ mile on Tucker Hill Road on the Left side. 169 Tucker Mill Rd Locke NY. Cedar Toned Board and Batten Building with Green Trim. Welcome to Morgan Equine.

From Ithaca NY

  1. Route 13 through Ithaca to North Triphammer Rd. Go 4 miles to Rt 34 B
  2. Turn right or east at the 4 way Blinking light.
  3. Go 4.8 miles to Sharpsteen Rd. Turn Left. There is a Gun/Ammo Shop sign just before turn.
  4. Go 1 mile to the end  of Sharpsteen. Turn Right onto Pleasant Valley Rd.
  5. Go 1 block to Smith Road, turn left or north.
  6. Continue straight 4.7 miles. Follow the 90' curve to the Left.
  7. 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.

North Route 38

  1. On Rt 38 North just as you are entering Groton past the school.
  2. Turn Left on South Street. Go  ½ block, turn Right on Sykes Street. It becomes Spring street at the stop sign in about blocks.
  3. Continue Straight ahead.  Go ½ mile up the hill, Turn Right at the Y onto West Groton Road
  4. Go to the end of W. Groton Road, about 1 mile
  5. Turn RIGHT onto Smith/West Groton Road
  6. Go Straight at the stop sign for 1 mile. Follow the 90' curve to the Left.
  7. 4/10 mile past the curve is Tucker Hill Road. Turn Right.
