Jessica
Morgan, DVM
As a busy Minnesota youth, she showed horses and dogs, and participated
in High School Rodeo. Enrolling in horseshoeing school while still an
undergraduate was a natural step to further her knowledge of the equine
foot. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Industry
from Kansas State University then graduated from Kansas State University’s
College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. An internship in Equine Medicine
and Surgery at a private equine practice led her to Southern California.
She remained in California, operating a solo equine ambulatory practice
for six years before opening Morgan Equine Veterinary and Farrier Hospital
with Dallas Morgan in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Her continuing
education efforts have led her to complete specialty veterinary acupuncture,
chiropractic and dentistry courses. Currently, she is attending the International
Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology continuing education series that
leads to examination and special membership within the society. The focus
of the group is Ultrasonography, Radiography, Anatomy and MRI diagnostic
procedures that advance the understanding of lameness in horses. email
